if you enlarge 1/12 scale images to work with American Girl dolls, you will not be happy with their quality. They will look very "pixelated". You are better off using images that are the correct scale, or starting with images that are bigger than you want, and resizing them *down* to what you need. They won't lose quality, if they go down in size, only if they go up. Go to http://google.com and search for: american girl doll printables.
